This exclusive all suite resort ambles gently upward from the sparkling waters of the bay following the natural incline of the landscape so that most suites have a spectacular sea view and many also look out over the 80m lagoon-style swimming pool, which is the central feature guarded by towering palm trees.

All that is best in Cypriot architecture and local materials has been used. Sloping roofs and graceful arches are predominant, as is the use of natural wood and stone, and the specially reclaimed terracotta roof tiles give the whole project a nicely aged and traditional look. All suites have shuttered windows, heavy wooden doors and large covered balconies.
    

Paved pathways, shaded by bougainvillaea and olive trees, meander throughout the resort around the traditional taverna and ouzeri, past the quaint little Chapel of All Saints and on down to the beach.

The 94 luxury suites, 2 with private pool, are located in 11 different buildings which punctuate the beautifully landscaped gardens and circle the central area of pool, sun terraces, pool bar and wet bar.

All suites provide a shaded haven with their cool stone floors, shutters, and overhead ceiling fans. A discreetly disguised wooden panel at the bedside allows convenient management of the fans and the suite lighting system. Climate control in each suite can similarly be individually regulated.

The spacious sleeping and sitting areas of the suites are a restful harmony of natural colours and materials. All furniture and furnishings have been specially commissioned. The natural wood furniture displays exquisite hand-carvings, while cushions and material-covered bed-heads have been woven by hand.

The private bathrooms are equally roomy, accommodating a double washbasin unit, a large separate shower stall, and sizeable bathtub, some of which are air baths, WC and bidet.

Fine dining is an important part of a stay at the COLUMBIA Beach Resort. The signature Dionysos Restaurant features imaginative à la carte and table d'hôte menus to the tunes of the resident musicians.

The Apollo Taverna serves all-day à la carte and snacks, plus a business buffet lunch. It specialises in all that is best in local cuisine for indoor or outdoor dining. For dinner the traditional Cypriot meze and freshly caught fish are on the menu. On certain evenings a guitar duo serenades diners at their tables.

Adjacent to the taverna, the Ouzeri is open for international and local beverages, including the anis-based Ouzo accompanied by selected appetizers.

The Eros Cocktail Bar is decorated in a nautical theme and its wooden deck outside boasts superb views of the surrounding areas and even a high-powered telescope to get a close-up view of the bay or the stars.
