AYIA NAPA MONASTERY Originally a fishing village it is now a major tourist resort. The charming mediaeval monastery dadicated to ''Our Lady of the Forests'' stands in the middle of the village surrounded by a high wall. Its 16th century church is partly underground and cut into the rock. The hostel west of the church, belongs to the World Council of Churches. The ancient sycamore tree in front of the south gate is believed to be over 600 years old
MARINE LIFE MUSEUM - Tornaritis - Pierides: The Marine Life Museum consists of an interesting collection of past and present marine life, scientifically classified, as well as stuffed and preserved specimens of larger marine species. Exhibits include a recontsruction of the sea bed in the age of the dinosaurs, ancient fish fossils, sea turtles laying their eggs, as well as recent shells and marine organisms of the Cyprus and Greek seas.
